Mai Tran built the LoopKnit AI: Pattern Maker app as a free service. This Service is provided by Mai Tran and is intended for use as is.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects or processes, how that information is used, when it is shared with third-party services, and what choices users have.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For AI image processing features, the app will ask for your explicit permission before sending your selected image or prompt to a third-party AI service.

## Information We Collect or Process

LoopKnit AI: Pattern Maker may collect or process the following information when you use the app:

* Text prompts entered by the user
* Images selected or uploaded by the user
* Image generation or pattern generation instructions entered by the user
* Device information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and basic technical information
* App usage analytics, such as feature usage, screens viewed, and app interactions
* Crash logs and diagnostics used to identify and fix app errors
* Advertising-related data if ads are shown in the app, subject to applicable consent requirements

The app does not access or upload your full photo library. Only the image you choose or upload for a specific AI processing request is used for that request.

## How We Use Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

* To provide AI-powered knitting and crochet pattern generation features
* To process user-selected images and prompts and return AI-generated results
* To operate, maintain, and improve app functionality
* To analyze app performance and reliability
* To diagnose crashes and technical issues
* To display ads, if ads are included in the app
* To comply with applicable legal, safety, and platform requirements

We do not use uploaded images, prompts, or generated results for advertising, user profiling, facial recognition, identity verification, biometric analysis, or training our own machine learning models.

## AI Processing and Third-Party AI Service

LoopKnit AI: Pattern Maker uses Google Gemini API services provided by Google LLC, a third-party AI service, to generate AI-powered knitting and crochet pattern results.

Before any image, prompt, or generation instruction is sent to Google Gemini API, the app displays an in-app notice that explains:

* What data will be sent
* That the data will be sent to Google LLC's Gemini API services
* Why the data is being sent
* That the user must give permission before the data is sent

When you use AI-powered features and choose to continue, the following data may be transmitted to Google Gemini API services:

* The image selected or uploaded by you
* Text prompts entered by you
* Image generation, knitting pattern, or crochet pattern instructions entered by you

This data is transmitted only for the purpose of processing your request and returning the AI-generated image, knitting pattern, crochet pattern, or related result.

We do not send your name, email address, contacts, precise location, full photo library, or unrelated photos or files to Google Gemini API for AI processing.

If you tap "Cancel" or do not give permission in the in-app notice, the app will not send your selected image, prompt, or related generation instructions to Google Gemini API.

Google LLC is required to provide the same or equal protection for user data as described in this Privacy Policy and as required by Apple's App Review Guidelines for third-party service providers.

## User Consent and Choices

Use of AI image processing features is optional.

You may choose not to use the AI-powered features. If you do not give permission, your selected image, prompt, and related instructions will not be sent to Google Gemini API.

You may still use other available parts of the app that do not require sending your selected image or prompt to the third-party AI service, where applicable.

## Data Sharing

We may share limited user information with third-party service providers only as needed to provide app functionality, analytics, diagnostics, advertising, and AI processing.

Third-party services used by the app may include:

* Google Gemini API, provided by Google LLC, for AI image and pattern processing
* Firebase Analytics, provided by Google LLC, for app usage analytics
* Firebase Crashlytics or similar diagnostics services, if enabled, for crash logs and diagnostics
* AdMob, provided by Google LLC, for advertising, if ads are shown in the app

These third-party service providers may process information on our behalf only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. They are required to protect user data according to their privacy and security policies and to provide the same or equal protection required for the data they process on our behalf.

We do not sell user personal information.

## Analytics and Diagnostics

The app may use Firebase Analytics and crash reporting tools to understand how the app is used, improve app performance, and fix technical issues.

Analytics and diagnostics data may include:

Analytics and diagnostics data is not used to identify the content of your uploaded images or prompts.

The app does not use uploaded images or prompts for advertising targeting.

If any advertising activity requires permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the app will request permission before tracking users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

## Log Data

Whenever you use the Service, in the case of an app error, we may collect data and information through third-party products called Log Data.

This Log Data may include:

* Device Internet Protocol ("IP") address
* Device name or model
* Operating system version
* App configuration
* Time and date of use

This data is used to maintain app stability, investigate problems, and improve the Service.

## Data Retention

User-selected images, prompts, and generation instructions are processed temporarily for the purpose of completing the AI request.

The app does not permanently store user-uploaded images on its own servers after the AI processing request is completed.

Generated results may be saved locally on your device if you choose to save them, export them, or keep them inside the app. You may delete locally saved content from your device or app storage where available.

Analytics, diagnostics, and advertising-related data may be retained by third-party service providers according to their own retention policies and only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

* Identity verification
* Emotion analysis
* Biometric analysis

No face data, facial geometry, facial recognition data, or biometric identifier is retained by the app.
